Valuable Experiences

Public Relations Campaign Management

As a Public Relations Bateman Campaign Member for EveryLibrary and EveryLibrary Institute, I applied classroom knowledge to design and execute a full public relations campaign. This experience honed my skills in event planning, web development, media relations, and research, culminating in organizing an event with Mayor Brett Smiley of Providence and securing significant news coverage.

Content Creation & Marketing Strategy

My role as a Marketing Writer Intern at AXIOTROP, LLC, involves crafting weekly blog posts, summarizing key article insights, and managing LinkedIn content. I've also contributed to webpage design, edited email marketing campaigns, and created marketing collateral. I've gained valuable knowledge in specific areas like cybersecurity practices, including CMMC, Title 48, and Title 32.

Solutions Journalism & Non-Profit Leadership

My journey with Communities of Hope, an on-campus non-profit, began as a Public Relations Associate. I then transitioned to a Solutions Journalist, focusing on local stories and a documentary about immigration and refugees in Rhode Island. I was promoted to Executive Manager, helping with daily newsroom management, and later played a key role in launching and managing their freelance agency, coordinating with local news outlets, and training students.

Communications & Media Monitoring

As a Communications Intern at the Rhode Island Department of Administration, I created and updated weekly news audits on relevant topics, including the Washington Bridge, APRA, and housing insecurity. I also conducted social media audits of news outlets and journalists and developed profiles on prominent news leaders.

Digital Media, AI Development & Video Production

This past year I built an alumni search engine using the latest in AI developments. I have experience editing b-roll into short promotional videos for Roger Williams University, which includes video editing, audio editing, color correction, and using Premier Pro. My technical skills also encompass Website Development (Wix, WordPress). I have used both to build and manage online newsrooms.

Compelling Journalism Through Engaging Narratives

As a Features Writer for the RWU Hawks Herald in Spring 2025, I authored articles covering significant campus events, including "Students Against Censorship," which detailed the "From Shelf to Flames Event" highlighting book banning and diverse literature. I also reported on "RWU holds multilingual storytelling," an event celebrating language diversity with readings in Spanish, Portuguese, and American Sign Language to foster community engagement. My contributions reflect a strong passion for storytelling and a commitment to amplifying diverse voices and addressing community issues.
