Throughout my time at Roger Williams University, I’ve taken on a wide range of student leadership roles that reflect my commitment to service, collaboration, and inclusive campus culture. From media and mentoring to theatre and volunteerism, my leadership is rooted in building community, creating opportunities, and amplifying student voices.
Organizational Leadership & Advocacy
As the long-standing Treasurer of RWU’s Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ), I’ve helped grow our small chapter into a vibrant network of student journalists—organizing professional station tours, launching a mentorship program, and coordinating trips to regional and national conferences. I co-founded The Capsized Tribune, where I manage our website and social media to expand student storytelling and digital engagement.
Within PRSSA, I’ve built out digital tools including an alumni search engine and an online newsroom, represented RWU at PRSSA ICON and PRSA International Conferences, and contributed to the 2025 Bateman Case Study Competition team. I was honored with our chapter’s “Greatest Growth” award during my sophomore year.
Mentorship, Orientation & Volunteerism
Beyond clubs, I served as an Orientation Advisor, helping incoming students transition into university life through one-on-one mentorship and group programming. I also volunteered for freshman move-in for two consecutive years, ensuring students and families felt welcomed and supported. These roles gave me the chance to lead with empathy and serve as a resource during pivotal moments in students’ journeys.
Storytelling, Theatre & Media Involvement
As a reporter for The Hawks’ Herald, I’ve contributed to student media by covering timely campus news and community features. I’ve also worked behind the scenes as a stage manager for two university plays, gaining valuable experience in organization, communication, and leadership in high-pressure environments. These experiences reinforced my skills in time management, creative collaboration, and accountability.
Leadership has been at the heart of my college experience. Whether mentoring first-year students, managing backstage operations, reporting the news, or advocating for free speech, each role has challenged me to grow, support others, and help shape a more engaged and inclusive RWU community.
